Tom is FCI’s account executive and project manager. With a background in journalism, Tom is an expert listener who sits down with every client and pinpoints their strategic goals, main message and target audience. Year after year, clients look to Tom for guidance in producing print and multimedia materials that are just right for them.
The personal attention he gives to each client has developed into many long-standing relationships with major corporations, government agencies and financial institutions. Tom has been with FCI for more than 25 years.
Philip oversees the concept development and design of all the firm’s projects and manages FCI’s art directors. Since co-founding FCI in 1982, he has developed a hands-on team approach, strategically developing communications with clear messages married with compelling design—consistently reflective of each client’s unique personality.
In addition to creating designs for print and the web, Philip is also an illustrator and photographer. He believes life is a continuous learning process, and is always open to embracing change, exploring fresh ideas and adopting new technologies.
Pamela is a highly skilled typographer with more than 16 years of experience in print production. Her expertise ranges from formatting and stylizing documents to creating vector art to pre-flighting projects and ensuring they are printer-ready.
Pamela has a talent for typesetting complex publications, including the financial sections of annual reports, and creating professionally designed financial tables, graphs and charts. Pamela has been with FCI for eight years.
Rob has a talent for creating bold new designs in print and for the web, as well as a penchant for designing unique logos. He’s experienced in all facets of web development—from designing entire sites to developing the architecture to overseeing programming. Rob has a knack for creating interactive, responsive sites that work seamlessly in all browsers and devices, and bringing each client’s unique vision to life on the web.
Rob has been with FCI for nine years and has a B.A. in art with an emphasis on graphic design from the University of Maryland.
David manages the production process for each project. During his 21 years at FCI and more than 30 years in the printing, paper and design industry, David has built relationships with many of the region’s premier printers and paper companies. He supervises the most critical aspects of production as well as manages special projects for our clients—anything from environmental graphics to web server issues.
David also handles our internal technical support, and is a graphic artist and a former press operator.
Patricia oversees the copy for each project. From concept development through production, she works closely with clients, copywriters and the design team to ensure that the copy conveys the client’s strategic message and speaks to the target audience. She’s a stickler for detail but also has a flexible approach that accommodates each client’s unique style and process.
Patricia has been with FCI for 15 years. She has a certificate in professional editing from George Washington University and a B.A. in English literature from the University of Maryland.
Marc’s design expertise is evidenced by his inventive techniques and approaches. His creative background—his original art can be found in local D.C. galleries—and years of experience consistently translate into high-quality and surprisingly innovative designs.
A 15-year veteran at FCI, Marc received a B.A. in graphic design from American University and served there as an assistant professor teaching print production.
Cindy manages all the financial details and records for the company. Her accounting and administrative expertise keeps FCI’s operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Cindy has been with FCI for 21 years and has a B.S. in business administration with a major in accounting from Georgetown University.
Peggy has more than 25 years of graphic design experience. Her background is in designing consumer magazines and association collateral materials and publications.
Peggy has been with FCI for 10 years and now works from her home outside Columbus, Ohio. She has a B.A. in Asian studies and graphic design from Connecticut College.
Margaret is a web developer and programmer who has been working in Internet technology for over a decade. Partnering with FCI in the beginning of 2012, she specializes in creating accessible and responsive websites using the latest web technologies.
Susan is an author, ghostwriter and copywriter with more than 25 years of experience developing strategic communications for corporate clients. She can write just about anything and interview just about anyone, and works closely with our clients to make sure she gets the message—and tone—they’re after.
A graduate of Barnard College and former journalist, Susan has worked with FCI for 17 years and written more than 100 annual reports for our clients. including real estate, education, financial, pharmaceutical and technology companies.
